DWG and DWF Format Overview

DWG is the native file format for AutoCAD, widely used for storing 2D and 3D design data in architecture, engineering, and design industries.
DWF is a lightweight format developed by Autodesk, designed for sharing and publishing design data with reduced file sizes and added security.

Currently, DWG FastView does not support opening DWF files, and therefore, conversion from DWG to DWF is not possible. However, this feature is on the development roadmap and will be available soon. For converting DWF to DWG, please refer to this article.
