How to use external reference in DWG FastView?

DWG FastView for PC/Windows supports external references (Xrefs). To add an external reference, first open a drawing. Then, click the "External References" button located to the right of the first tab at the top of the interface. Note that the "Add" button is a bit small, so pay close attention when you're looking for it. Once you click the "Add" button, you can add external references in various formats, such as DWG and images. You can also right - click on an existing external reference. There are several options available in the right - click menu that allow you to manage the external reference effectively. In addition, you can modify the binding method of the external reference according to your needs. When dealing with external references, it's crucial to consider the locations of the main drawing and its external reference drawings. It's often a good practice to keep them in the same folder to avoid potential issues with loading and displaying the references. This simple setup can save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
